Jewish, Christian Neighbors Join Hands to Help Families

posted Dec 10, 2013, 6:54 AM by Interfaith WS

Congratulations to Temple Emanuel and Highland Presbyterian Church for joining hands to help hungry families in a unique partnership with Moore Elementary School in Winston-Salem.

Volunteers at the two worship centers, which long have worked together, have created the first food pantry that serves a single local neighborhood school.  The pantry has been in operation since October and is already making a mark on families that have children at Moore School.  The pantry was featured in an article in the Tuesday, Dec. 10 issue of the Winston-Salem Journal.
