Holocaust Remembrance Day April 27

posted Apr 16, 2014, 12:19 PM by Interfaith WS

A special Holocaust Remembrance Day at Temple Emanuel, 201 Oakwood Dr. in Winston-Salem, will feature the showing of "Weapons of the Spirit" and a Yom HaShoah service on Sunday, April 27 at 7 p.m.

During World War II, in and around one village in Nazi-occupied France, 5,000 Jews were sheltered-by 5,000 Christians! The astonishing story of a unique conspiracy of goodness.  The script for the 90-minute “Weapons of the Spirit” film was written, produced and directed by Pierre Sauvage.

Holocaust Remembrance Day commemorates the approximately six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust as a result of the actions carried out by Nazi Germany and its accessories, and for the Jewish resistance in that period.

Free and open to the public.  For more information, please contact Temple Emanuel, (336) 722-6640.
