This year’s Diwali observance, a festival of lights for Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs and Jains, will be held at two locations in Winston-Salem on Nov. 17. It begins in Brendle Recital Hall on the Wake Forest University campus, with snacks and socializing at 4:30 and the program from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. The festival then moves to the nearby Polo Recreation Center at 1850 Polo Road from 7:45-10 p.m. for dinner. Additional details are to come, but you might want to reserve the date on your calendar for this joyful event.
